Communication Protocol to Revolutionize Data Acquisition in Test & Measurement
iDDS stands for Instrumentation Data Distribution Service, a protocol designed for real-time data distribution across complex instrumentation and measurement systems. It is an extension of the Data Distribution Service (DDS) and is particularly oriented towards data acquisition systems, field tested and proven in gas turbine engine testing.
iDDS architecture includes nodes that generate, process, and consume data. These nodes are interconnected via a real-time backbone, which ensures the timely and reliable transfer of data. The configuration server manages the network setup, enabling plug-and-plug interoperability of iDDS compliant instrumentation and software.
